Troubleshooting

If you encounter problems during the installation process, mail us at this address: easybe@gmx.net Please include a detailed description of the problem (without writing a novel!) The more information we have about the problem the easier it is to solve it. Also, please bear in mind that we are a small team and we can't promise to address your problem immediately. We can promise, however, to solve it as quickly as we can. We wish you every success with your music and with the 1-2-3 Music Store.

internal server error 500

delete the .htaccess file and ask your hosting service to restart the server

This error is caused by certain server configurations which object to the script?s .htaccess file. The file overrides server restrictions on http upload volume. If you upload via ftp (which is much quicker than http), and you?re sure that you will never need to upload via http, you can safely delete the file.

Warning: fopen(process.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/yourusername/public_html/install.php on line 394

Set the permission for process.php and install.php to 777 and set it back to 644 after the installation.

This error can occur when your server has a non-standard permissions configuration. Effectively, it means that the install file is not accessible because you don't have the right permissions, although you probably followed the installation instructions correctly. It's an odd problem, but the solution described above solves it.

I have installed the 1-2-3 Music Store, loaded songs, and created an album with artwork but when I launch the Music Store I don't see my album, my songs, or my artwork. Whatıs up with that?

The most likely answer is that youıve missed the button ³Show in the music store². This must be set to ³Yes² or you wonıt see your work. The idea behind this is that you can put the album online when youıre sure youıre finished working on it. Basically, you do the work, check it, and then put it online with one click.

Alternatively, check the release date. If youıve set a release date thatıs later than like, today, you wonıt be able to see the album in the store until that date. Sounds obvious but it happensŠ

Yeah, that happens to me, too. When I add songs through the Admin Area, they never show up in the store, no matter what.

Aha. This sounds similar, but itıs a different issue altogether. What youıre doing is just creating songs without albums. Your songs are sitting around in the store waiting for an album to display them! Create an album, assign your songs, check the release date and check the button ³Show in the music store². Then youıll see the songs.

I want to sell single songs, though. Can the 1-2-3 Music Store do that?

A. Yes. You just make an ³album² with one song. The list view (small pictures) then becomes a ³preview² and the ³album view² (big picture) is a detail view for that particular song. You can even show the lyrics instead of the album description. Or anything. An album is just a group of songs. You can group your songs however you want by artist, genre, mood so that the "album" becomes something else e.g. ³slow songs². If you choose focus on single songs, donıt forget to access the templates and change the link "buy this album" to "buy now" or "buy this song".
